1.和鋁金屬模鑄造比較，鎂壓鑄出產有較高的殘余廢料率(和鋁壓鑄廢料產出率比較)。

2.鎂壓鑄的出產設備投資很高。和鋁重力／低壓／硝模等工藝比，鎂壓鑄機很貴(由于需求較高的鎖模力和充型射料速度)，當然它的出產率也是前者的4倍。
