建筑上使用的鋁板包括單層鋁板、復(fù)合鋁板等多種材料，一般常常指單層鋁板（也有叫單鋁板或純鋁板），多用于建筑裝飾工程中，近年來在鋁板幕墻中單層鋁板使用的較為多見。鋁板幕墻也是幕墻的一種形式，簡單地說是用鋁板代替玻璃制成幕墻，鋁板幕墻多用于作墻體蔽護(hù)和不采光的墻壁。

國外的鋁板幕墻一直選用單層鋁板。單層鋁板一般用純鋁板。鋁板厚度為3mm，為了加強(qiáng)鋁板板面強(qiáng)度，在鋁板的背面，必須安裝加強(qiáng)筋(現(xiàn)有的廠家不安)，加強(qiáng)筋用厚的鋁帶做成，先用閃光焊機(jī)把一顆顆螺絲帽焊在鋁板背面然后把作加強(qiáng)筋的鋁條鉆孔套進(jìn)螺絲內(nèi)，用螺絲固定。

我國為了減輕鋁板重量，增加鋁板強(qiáng)度，我們采用鋁合金板，常選用21號(hào)防銹鋁代號(hào)LF21壓成的鋁板作幕墻鋁板。鋁板厚度由原來3mm減少為2.5mm，該合金強(qiáng)度比純鋁板高出一倍左右。加強(qiáng)筋用LF21鋁帶，鋁帶的寬度厚度根據(jù)鋁板板面而定，一般厚2-2.5mm，寬10-25mm。鋁板幕墻的鋁板背面為什么要安加強(qiáng)筋，是在外界正負(fù)壓力的情況下，鋁板一不會(huì)凹陷，二不會(huì)鼓出，這樣就避免了鋁板幕墻反復(fù)里外振動(dòng)而發(fā)出的振動(dòng)聲音。如果需要隔音保溫，可在鋁板內(nèi)側(cè)，安放巖棉、礦渣棉或發(fā)泡處理。

幕墻鋁板表面處理，可分為二種方法，一種是陽極氧化，另一種是靜電噴涂。陽極氧化的氧化膜一般在12μ以上，顏色只有古銅色和白色兩種，顏色單調(diào)，更為嚴(yán)重的缺點(diǎn)是每塊鋁板板面的顏色深淺不一，許多塊幕墻板組合在一起形成一個(gè)幕墻整體效果非常難看。這個(gè)缺點(diǎn)可以說無法消除，并非生產(chǎn)技術(shù)造成的，而是由于鋁板并非是由一批號(hào)，化學(xué)成份，均有小的差別，再加上氧化時(shí)電解槽液電流密度等因素均無法完全一樣，所以氧化后的顏色多少均有差異，單張看可能不明顯，若都排在一起即非常明顯。所以鋁板幕墻的鋁板表面處理，決不能用陽極氧化。

幕墻鋁板表面處理的另一種方法是靜電噴涂。噴涂又分為粉沫噴涂和液體噴涂。粉沫噴涂材料主要為：聚氨酯、聚脹樹脂、環(huán)氧樹脂等原料配以高保色性顏料，可得到幾十種不同顏色的噴涂粉沫。該噴涂粉沫，耐撞碰耐磨擦，在50公斤撞擊下，鋁板變形，噴涂層無裂紋，無掉層完整無損，抗稀酸及砂漿。的缺點(diǎn)怕紫外線長期照射，幾年后易產(chǎn)生陰陽面顏色的差異。國內(nèi)不少廠家生產(chǎn)的噴涂粉沫，重量差異甚大，有的粉沫含金屑這種粉沫在掛到墻面以后，隨陽光角度變化，白天和黃昏有變化，墻面顏色深淺有差異，選用粉沫噴涂料希引起注意。
